Production & Fulfillment

Production & Fulfillment

Made to Order. Produced for Your Order.

Once your personalized artwork is approved, your order moves from the design stage into production. Print Nexus coordinates production and fulfillment through a network of professional printing and production facilities across the United States.

How Production Works

Your Approved Design Becomes the Production File.

Personalized products require a different approach from standard products that are simply taken from inventory and shipped.

Your order may contain unique artwork, names, messages, images, dimensions, quantities or other specifications. Those details become part of the production process.

For orders requiring artwork approval, production begins after the required artwork has been approved and the order is ready to move forward.

Nationwide Production Network

Professional Production Across the United States.

Print Nexus works with a network of professional printing and production facilities across the USA to support different products, materials, printing processes and fulfillment requirements.

Different Products

Different products require different equipment, materials, production methods and finishing processes.

Flexible Fulfillment

The facility used for an order may vary depending on the product, customization, availability, destination and fulfillment requirements.

Centralized Experience

Although production may take place through different facilities, your order remains part of the Print Nexus ordering and fulfillment process.

Why a Production Network?

Not Every Product Is Made the Same Way.

Printing and personalization involve a wide range of materials, equipment and production techniques. A process that works for one product may not be appropriate for another.

Working with a network of professional production facilities allows orders to be matched with production capabilities appropriate to the product and fulfillment requirements.

This also means that the production location can vary from one order to another. The production facility is selected according to the requirements of the specific order rather than being presented as a single fixed location for every product.

The Production Journey

Important: Artwork Approval

Production Does Not Begin While Approval Is Pending.

For personalized orders requiring artwork approval, your order remains ON HOLD until the required approval is received.

  • Your artwork is provided for review before production.
  • You can review names, text, dates, images, colors and layout.
  • If Print Nexus is creating the design, included revisions can be requested during the design-review stage.
  • The order can remain on hold for an unlimited period until the required approval is received.
  • Production timing begins after the required artwork approval.
Understanding Your Timeline

Production Time and Shipping Time Are Different.

The time it takes to receive a personalized order involves more than one stage. Understanding the difference helps set clearer expectations.

Stage 1

Artwork & Approval

This stage covers artwork preparation, customer review, feedback, revisions where applicable and final approval.

Stage 2

Production

After approval, the order enters production. Production time can vary according to the product and its production requirements.

Stage 3

Carrier Transit

After production and fulfillment, the shipment enters the carrier's network. Transit time depends on the applicable shipping service and carrier conditions.

When does the production timeline start?

For personalized orders requiring artwork approval, applicable production and delivery estimates begin after the artwork has been approved and the order is ready to proceed.

Time spent waiting for customer feedback, revisions, missing information or approval is not included in the production period.

What Can Affect Production?

Every Order Can Have a Different Timeline.

Production timing can vary because personalized products are not all made using the same process.

Product Type

Different products require different production methods, materials, equipment and finishing processes.

Customization

The number and type of personalized elements can affect how an order is prepared and produced.

Order Quantity

Larger quantities may require different production and fulfillment arrangements than smaller orders.

Artwork Requirements

Orders requiring design preparation, customer review or revisions have an additional artwork stage before production.

Availability

Production availability can vary depending on the product and applicable production requirements.

Destination

The shipping destination can influence fulfillment arrangements and carrier transit time.

Made to Order

Your Product Is Prepared for Your Order.

Personalization means that your order can contain specifications unique to you. Names, messages, artwork, images and other details may be incorporated into the product according to the approved order.

Because personalized products are often made according to individual specifications, they should not be treated like standard inventory items that are simply selected from a shelf and shipped.

This made-to-order approach is an important part of how Print Nexus handles personalized products.

Production Location

Why Can the Production Facility Vary?

Print Nexus uses a network of professional production facilities rather than presenting every product as being produced at one fixed location.

Product Requirements

The product itself may require specific printing equipment, materials or finishing capabilities.

Production Availability

Available production capacity can differ between facilities and products.

Fulfillment Requirements

The appropriate facility can depend on the requirements of the individual order and its destination.

From Production to Delivery

Production Is Only One Part of the Journey.

Once your product has been produced and prepared for fulfillment, it is handed into the shipping process.

Carrier transit time begins after the shipment enters the applicable delivery network. Carrier delays, weather, holidays, service interruptions and other transportation conditions can affect the actual delivery date.

A production estimate and a carrier delivery estimate therefore represent different stages of the overall order timeline.

Shipment Tracking

Follow Your Order Once It Ships.

When tracking information is available, it can be used to monitor your shipment through the applicable carrier's network.

Tracking Created

Tracking information may be generated as the shipment is prepared for carrier handoff.

Carrier Transit

After carrier acceptance, the package moves through the carrier's transportation network.

Delivery

Final delivery is handled according to the applicable carrier service and destination.

Important Timing Information

Some Delays Are Outside the Production Process.

We work to move orders through the applicable production and fulfillment stages, but some circumstances can affect timing after an order has entered production or shipping.

  • Customer approval or delayed feedback.
  • Missing or incomplete order information.
  • Production requirements or capacity.
  • Carrier delays or service interruptions.
  • Severe weather or transportation disruptions.
  • Holidays and peak shipping periods.
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
