How It Works

From Idea to Finished Product

Whether you already have production-ready artwork or need help creating something from scratch, our process is designed to keep personalization simple and give you an opportunity to review your design before production.

Step 1 — Choose Your Product

Start by selecting the product you want to personalize.

Depending on the product, you may be able to select options such as size, quantity, format, or other available specifications.

If you're unsure which product or configuration is appropriate for your project, you can contact us before placing your order.

Step 2 — Provide Your Artwork or Your Idea

What Information Should You Provide?

If your product is personalized, provide as much relevant information as possible.

• Names and personalized wording
• Dates and numbers
• Messages or other text
• Photographs or images
• Logos or branding
• Preferred colors
• Preferred style or overall look
• Layout or orientation preferences
• Reference images or examples
• Any special instructions

Step 3 — Artwork Preparation

If you provide your own finished artwork, we'll use the submitted artwork according to the requirements of your selected product.

If you request our Personalized Design Service, our design team will use the information and materials you provide to prepare your personalized artwork.

For Print Nexus-created designs, up to 3 design versions or revision attempts are included unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon.

These revisions are intended to refine the original concept. A completely different design direction or substantially changed project may require additional review.

Step 4 — Review Your Artwork Proof

Personalized orders that require artwork approval will receive an artwork proof before production.

This is your opportunity to make sure the design contains the information and appearance you want.

Step 5 — Approve Your Artwork

There is no automatic deadline that causes an unapproved personalized order to move into production. The order may remain on hold for an unlimited period until the required approval is received.

This gives you the opportunity to review your personalized information carefully rather than having the product produced before you've confirmed the artwork.

When Does My Production Timeline Begin?

For personalized products that require artwork preparation and approval, production and delivery estimates begin after the required artwork has been approved.

Time spent waiting for customer information, revisions, feedback, or approval is not included in the production timeline.

Step 6 — Production & Fulfillment

Once the required artwork has been approved, your order can move into production.

Print Nexus works with a network of professional printing and production facilities across the United States. The production facility used for your order may vary depending on the product, customization, availability, destination, and fulfillment requirements.

After production is completed, the order moves through the applicable fulfillment and shipping process.

Production and Shipping Are Separate

It's important to understand that production time and shipping time are two different stages.

• Artwork approval: The personalized design is approved for production.
• Production: The product is printed or manufactured.
• Fulfillment: The finished order is prepared for shipment.
• Shipping: The package enters carrier transit toward the delivery address.

Delivery timing can also be affected by carrier operations, holidays, weather, transportation conditions, address issues, and other factors outside the production process.

Can I Change My Order?

If you need to make a change or cancel your order, contact us as soon as possible.

Changes are generally easier to accommodate before artwork approval and before production begins.

Once artwork has been approved and production starts, changes, cancellations, or redesigns may no longer be possible.

What If I Made a Mistake?

That's why the artwork approval step is so important.

Before approving your proof, carefully check every personalized detail, including spelling, names, dates, numbers, messages, images, colors, logos, and layout.

If you notice an error before approving the artwork, let us know so it can be addressed before production where possible.

If you notice an issue after approval, contact us immediately. We'll determine what options may be available based on the current production status.
